About and methodology
CurbRules answers one question per page: how do I get rid of this item in this city? Pages start with a three-line quick answer, then list every option: free city pickup, drop-off sites, store take-back, donate or resell, and paid haul-away.
How we research
- Facts come only from official sources: city solid-waste departments and their item-lookup tools, 3-1-1, county and state environmental agencies (for Texas, TCEQ), state statutes, and the retailer's own take-back pages.
- Every page links its sources and shows a “last checked” date.
- If we can't confirm something (hours, fees, size limits), we say “check with 311” instead of guessing.
- Free and public options always come before paid ones.
